Hello and thanks for a great program!
I have 2 questions: I like the dropshadow on the acd skin and need the left nav like the simple skin. Is there any way to have the simple skin with a dropshadow? (that drop shadow looks so sharp)
Is there any way to remove the auto login? I'm lazy and would like to just enter my id and pass!
I lied, one more question. Is there any way to search your support section? I did go in about 8 pages looking before posting, but I don't have any more time!
Many many thanks again! |

Hello, thanks for the feedback.
1) you can apply the dropshadow for the skin "acd" into "simple_sc" - just copy relevant html code fragment from "html/acd/gallery.html" into "html/simple_sc/gallery.html"
or you can apply the left navi from "simple_sc" skin into "acd" in the same way - copy relevant html code fragment from one html-template into another
2) what do you mean "to remove auto login" ?
3) I will think about search feature for the support section, but do not hesitate to publish your questions, or contact me with E-mail or IM. |

I see, you need to remove default username and password "demo" from the login form?
Just open the file "admin/gallery_auth.php" with text editor and clean the value "demo" from lines 57 and 61 |

hi, great piece of work this. The only problem is the way this is made, im having difficulty getting the sidebar for catogories in simple_sc skin into the expo one,.. i have tried looking and a bit of copy and pastes, but it seems it is need to be applied to more than one file.
Also the files i keep seeing mentioned here in the skin folder as gallery.html dont exist, they are called catalog.html e.t.c..
any help would be very appreciated.
thanks. |

Hi, you can log into any admin page, just open "admin/gallery_scan_rwx.php"
(admin/gallery_cats.php,admin/gallery_cfg.php) with a browser.
Could you please let me look at the issue?
What internal server error did you get? |

How do I hide the pricing? I really like your software, but I want to use it for a non-ecomm site and just display/manage photos?
THANKS!!!! Great Job |

|
| For hide prices you need to deactivate shopcart features from back-end - run admin/gallery_cfg.php and turn off "Shopcart active" checkbox, next save config by click "Submit" button. |

First you need to configure database parameters - go to admin/gallery_cfg.php
next do install database tables - run admin/gallery_install.php |

Does this application handle large amounts of photos and still maintain a quick response? I upload over 2000 photos per event and eventually I have more than 40 thousand photos online over the course of a year.
Thanks |

Well, I did not test the gallery with amount of 2000 pictures.
So you can download it and do test and let me know what do you think? |

When I use an apostrophe in a title, it changes the ' to "'" - Is there a way to keep the software from doing this? It does not do this in the description - only in an image's title.
Thanks! |

Actualy "&apos" is valid html representation for the ' character. If you'd like to preserve it, just remove the line #8 from the /core/misc.class.php:
$message = str_replace("'", "'", "$message"); |

Hello,
it's easy to fix session issue - just move "session_start()" line from the gallery.php to the first line of your web page.
Regarding the second issue nclude(./html/acd/gallery.html) - it's because of using relative paths for include templates. I will fix path with encapsgallery-1.7.17 |

| You know I think it will be fast solution if you will move all files inside the "gallery" directory at 1 level above, where your index.php exists. Or you can put your webiste header and footer html code to the gallery_head.html and gallery_foot.html |

I have a few questions about your script. I was wondering if it would be possible to for me to use this with the member script phpizabi i am currently running on my website?
Is the admin the only person who can upload images or can you set it to where other users can as well? I want it to be able to use the member database i already have.
Also can it be configured to where you only see the main picture of the category and you have to pay to see the rest of the pictures in that category? Like on your demo site it shows how many images are in that certain category and you see the first image would it be possible when you click on the image to see the rest of the images it takes you to the pay center to pay to see the rest? |

Hi,
the features you described above are not implemented with EncapsGallery, and not configurable.
I believe it's possible to implement your requirements, but it sounds like a bit complex customization. Not sure how long it can take exactly (suppose about 3-5 days ) to learn phpizabi, allow members to upload pictures, share only main category picture and require payment for the rest |
